okay, okay, I know, so many "suspension" threads... Anyhow, I am quickly coming up on removing the body from the frame and getting that all down packed..

Anyhow, I want to know what ya'll think of this setup.. Car will probably have an aluminum BB. You can read my specs in sig, (except a TKO600, not a Jerico)..

Front
Upper Arm SC&C adjustables
Lower Arm ??? Opinions??
Joints Howe Tall Joints
Springs 750lbs ~2" shorter
Spindle Stock or ATS (if I have $$)

Rear
Lower Arms UMI Arms (double adjust. & both spherical ends)
Upper Arms ?? Opinions??
springs 195lbs. ~ 2" Shorter

Thx,
Todd

You have some bold plans! hope you have deep pockets! The only useful input I have is that you would probably be fine with re-inforcing your stock lower front control arms, unless you just want to lose a couple extra lbs.

Upper Arm SC&C adjustables Good Choice :) Some minor grinding will be required to clear the UCA mounts on the frame.

Lower Arm ??? Opinions?? Stock is fine, reinforced is better. Global West makes a good product if you want tubular. These do nothing for your geometry, but will be stronger if you're worried about cornering loads, or just want arms that look cool.

Joints Howe Tall Joints Good Choice again. :)

Springs 750lbs ~2" shorter 750# will be a good spring. You may want to look at using a short 9.5" spring with height adjusters from Speedway Motors.

Spindle Stock or ATS (if I have $$) Either will work well, and you can always upgrade later if you don't have the money now.

Rear
Lower Arms UMI Arms (double adjust. & both spherical ends) Good Choice

Upper Arms ?? Opinions?? UMI's adjustable w/spherical - use with either rubber bushings or Wolfe Racecraft's sphericals on the axle.

springs 195lbs. ~ 2" Shorter I'd probably go just a bit softer, maybe 175-185#

Derek, what about the Afco's you just bought? Just curious why you didn't recommend those... Any problems with them? Get them installed yet?

I like them, but I think if I were to do it over again, I'd get something with a replaceable bushing. The AFCOs use a solid rod-end that is welded in place. When they wear out, I'll need to cut & weld to replace them.

When that time comes, I'm going to weld on a threaded insert (which my machinist brother will have to make for me) so I can thread in new male-ended teflon-bushed QA1 rod-end and then replacement will be easy from then on.

As far as quality goes, they are top-notch. They are very well built but the bushing replacement issue makes them not a very viable choice for someone who doesn't have the fabrication/welding skills or tools to go through all that work.

Well, the car is going to be built in stages, not looking to dump $20k in a weekend, but 95% of all work is going to be done by me, I have been putting a plan together and figure I can do it all for about 15k... Body 1st, Suspension 2nd, engine 3rd.. Can't wait to tear up the streets :D

Derek, thanks for the help..
