Guys I had a friend that said something about painting with exposed florsent(sp) bulbs about it being badd or something?? any ideas??

If it is a whole buch of paint places are accidents waiting to happen, mine included. I do make it a point not to mess with the switches, turn equipment on/off while fumes are around. Now painting with a gas fired (open flame) heater is dumb. Ive actually seen that question on a board.
