Hi all, I was wondering if someone could tell me where the black wire coming from the ashtray is suppose to connect to in the cluster? I redid the entire cluster with new bulbs and sockets and forgot where this particular bulb fits in the cluster. I have the assembly manual that shows a picture but there is not definitive reference points as to which hole this bulb goes in the cluster. If anyone knows please be as specific as possible, thanks in advance!

I don't have an answer for you but I would suggest you let people know what year car. Also if it's say a 70-72 is it a sweep or SS dash.

It's not a ground wire but a fiber optic light for the ash tray.
Looking at the back of the cluster, far left, it is the hole right next to the mouting tab.

Thanks finally found another thread that indicated that this is a fiber cable the sends light to the ashtray, thanks for the reply!
