Good on the DA.
I like to have 36 long to rough in the filler before hitting it with 80. Some people just use 80.
I sand primer the first time with 240 wet, reprime and sand with 600 wet.

OK guys thanks, I was thinking of getting some 320 or 400 grit to do the final blocking with and the possibly hit it with 600 wet.

This is just my opinion, I'm sure it works well but 240 wet then reprime then 600 wet may be a little excessive. We usually do 220 dry, then reprime if needed, if it all comes out straight we just go ahead and 400 wet. 600 wet is a good idea if you will be using a metallic, although 400 will be fine if you make sure you sand it good. Anyway, I like to have 36, 80, 180, and 220 for long board paper, and the same for DA minus the 36. If you don't have a mud hog, I would suggest purchasing one. This will make roughing out filler a matter of 5 min to do a large area, and getting 36 and/or 80 grit for that.

I've been using my DA with 80 to cut the filler surface to contour, then block it with 80 to get it flat and switch to 120 - 180 to feather it the rest of the way. Apply 2K to fill all the sand marks and level using a long block and 220 dry. Haven't used anything less than 80 grit since I finished stripping the paint - and even then, the 36 was just to cut the clear to let the paint stripper get in.
