dmcusmc Mar 13th, 01, 7:56 PM I have a 70 ss that is fathom blue with white stripes. The last owner took off the white top that came on it, and put on a black one cause he thought it looked better. I am just starting my first frame off resto ever. I have never seen a car like mine with a white top before. Is there a reason? Anyone have any advice should I get a white one or another black one? csmith Mar 14th, 01, 5:00 AM The white is a much harder color to keep looking good than black. But if you are going to fix it back to original, and if you are sure the white top is original color top. However, if you are putting a top on I would definitely go with the White, not just because that is correct for the car, but it would look much nicer than the black. White top is not that hard to keep clean but it does need regular maintenance to keep it that way. The more correct they are the more they are worth...especially if you are doing a frame off.
