I have a harwood fiberglass hood on my chevelle and I want to get it painted.Does anyone have any ideas on how much this should cost me.I know you get what you pay for,I was just wondering if there was something like an average cost.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks

Well.......just paint? what kind? BC/CC? do you want it sanded and buffed out? How does your car's paint look like now? You'll want it to match. From the picture (nice car by the way!) it looks like a red mettalic which probably has a clear coat on it.
From my experience, all fiberglass hoods need some work to get them straight. If you paint it as is, it will be wavey. I'd think you would like it to be as straight as your steel body anyway.
As for costs, I'd say:
labor: 5-7 hrs ($30-40/hr?) prep, prime, sand, paint, sand and buff.
materials: $150
so maybe $300-400??? It's hard to say.
