I pulled my exhaust manifolds off today which I'm pretty sure are the original set, where the part #'s and date codes are look like one big burr. I took a wire wheel to them just to see if I could make out the #'s and no luck, they are pretty rough, will a blasting revive them?

If they are that bad, not likely.

Are the new ones available Identical, other than date codes? Quality wise are they same as OEM? I was planning on having my originals powdercoated but if none of the #'s are ledgible is it worth it?
Would I be better off getting a new set ?
Any opinions or advise is greatly appreciated.
thanks

Drivers side is crystal clear K 18 5 , why would one side be so unreadable and the other plain as day ??? Would a replacement have some markings on the engine side of the manifold? If so maybe I'm tring to clean up and read something that isn't a distinct code ?
Any thoughts??
