Hey guys, I'm a newb. I was just going to register and found that at some point in the past i must have registered before. Either way, I just needed some input and questions answered on the restoration I've got underway so I thought I would get involved in the forum. Site looks great and I look forward to discussing cars with you.
By the way, I'm currently restoring a 1965 Chevelle SS. It's been a load of fun thus far and the resto is actually almost complete. I originally bought the car in 2000, it was in pretty rough shape. I was mainly concerned with go and not with show, so i started the build with the powerplant. I took out the original 283 and built a 355ci which went in the car. It was about 550hp without the 150 shot of nitrous i installed. I had the car out of the shop for 1 day and it was stolen from in front of my house. $13000 in the car, and it wasn't insured due to the fact that it was being worked on for 6 months, so I got royally screwed. 2 months later I found the car ditched in the woods two counties away, totally stripped, and in even worse condition.

I decided to start the build over, but more slowly and in the correct order.
Here's how it is sitting now.
