Window cranks:

They are attached with a "C" type clip, they look like this
http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?pf%5Fid=A2507&dept%5Fid=1661

2 methods for removal
1). special tool - see this Eastwood tool http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?itemID=2500&itemType=PRODUCT can be purchased at almost any auto parts store
2). rag.

In either case slide the removal tool between the panel and the part of the crank that meets the panel. In #1 above, push the tool toward the "C" clip to catch and push out. In #2 above, slip the rag in and pull one side then the other to catch the "C" clip and it pops out.

Rear panel:
Not sure on a 69, but feel along the edges for where it attaches. Take a 1" putty knife and gently pry between. The clips are usually something like this - see http://www.classicindustries.com part # 13173. The flat "U" shaped section attaches into the door panel inself and the then the other part pushes into the door/frame area.

The special tool makes life a lot easier, but another way I found is take a pair of needle nose pliers and stick it behind their and you can pry one side loose, and then the other. It needs to be a pretty thin set of pliers, but if they are the right size, it is another easy way.

As for the clips, while I never did it on a 69, there were a few screws in the rear arm rests that connected them to the 'door' panels. Make sure you get them too. The rear arm rest had to come out of my 71 to take the door panel off, so I would think it would be similar on a 69.

Take a soft clean rag,
slide it between the the window crank and the panel,
and as you alternate sliding the rag back and forth it catches the end of the "C" clip and pops it off.

The crank will then slide off the shaft.

By really careful prying off the panel or you will almost certainly tear out one of those attachment inserts from the cardboard backer. Personal experience.
