Hello
Is the paint under the hood of my black 69 supposed to be semi-gloss black or gloss black?
Thanks RAY

Neither!

It's a semi-flat little bit but not too much gloss black. Seriously, I've heard it called "eggshell black". You can do a really nice job with Krylon Rust Tough Semi flat or Rustoleum 7777- the spray cans DO work well for this application but heres a tip- USE THE ATTACHMENT THAT TURNS IT INTO A "SPRAY CAN GUN"! Its only a couple of bucks, and WELL worth it. The end result is smooth and even. Its one of those things where you try and match that oddball color the best you can.

Thank you for the reply. Your answers helped alot because painting under the hood is the last thing I need to do before I can cruise this car again.
