This is normally the week I spend snowmobiling with my family, but due to the lack of snow up north we decided to stay home and relax. I decided to use my relax time to pick up the pace on my 66's winter projects. I personally had never had my car apart but knew after speaking with previous owners and reading through all my documentation that the car was very close to original, but it still made my day finding all these #'s. How psyched are you guys when you find out your car is as it's supposed to be???

I havent had a numbers matching car since my '66 Chevelle SS back when I was in high school, and I was young n dumb as alot of us were back then and sold it for 500.00 with broken rear shock mounts and a big dent in the drivers door. I've had Camaros and Chevelles since then, no special editions or models, just plain jane cars that i was able to personalize my own way. I think I like it better that way. I'd hate to have a numbers matching '66 SS now that I couldnt take to the track for fear of crashing it or getting hit, they are worth a mint nowadays

I have a numbers matching car. There is a number 2 on the inake, and a number 2 in the VIN, and another number 2 on the cowl tag! The rest of the numbers? Oh, you mean they ALL have to match??? :D

thats feeling is great :) if you paid for an orginal car just think how bad you'd feel if it wasn't .....on the other side of the coin ..what if you bought a car just to run around in & found out it was 98% orignial ... build sheet included telling you all the cool stuff you bought the car for belongs there !! then you feel bad about taking it apart .. oh well I guess we just can't win this game ...... but it sure is Fun to play :)
