Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I am still new to Chevelles...

On a 70, is there a difference between an SS grille and a standard/Malibu grille (other than the emblem or color)? I want to build an SS clone, but I want it to look right.

The grille is the same. The diff is the SS grille is painted black, but both SS and malibu have the center rail or whatever you want to call it painted body color...Eric

P.S forgot the malibu grille will have 2 vertical trim pieces that go on the center part of the grill. Were the SS doesnt have the 2 extra trim pieces
