A 4 core should fit. Is it an original radiator?

I think a saw in the assy. manual that 3/4 of an inch is good. Does it have a spacer on it?

You should have a spacer, with a reinforcement washer on the water pump pulley, with the original fan and no shroud the clearance should be .75 / assembly manual. 4 rows came in 2 widths depending upon if you got the 3/8 " or the 1/2" rows.(2 1/8 or 2 5/8). There were 2 different width spacers. depending on which radiator. Becarefull on buying you fan clutches, a lot of people will sell you one for the SB and claim it is for the BB. There is a difference in the length. If you not concerned about originality, then the 4 row with 1/2" rows is the way to go and a fan shroud, and the correct spacer to make sure the fan is not to deep in the shroud and forget those noisy fan clutches.

ok heres a pic of my fan clutch shaft if you will notice i dont have a radiator installed at this time, like i said with the Rad in i have barely any room between fan and radiator and the fan is just about complelly in the shroud
im guessing my fan clutch is for a SB, at least i hope so or my 4 row will not fit thanks for all the help

I had the same problem with a 67 I did a few years back, took my fan clutch down to NAPA and they found me one about 1/2 inch shorter, worked just fine

Did understand you had the fan clutch, BB for 67 should be 1 1/2 between the fan mounting surface and the water pump mounting surface. The SB is 1 3/4 This is for the 67 clutch fan. If your clutch is 2" it's not for the 67 BB. And I thought but not sure that there was a high efficiency 4 row 67 radiator which used 3/8" rows , which makes the width of the radiator 1/2" less in width used with the fan clutch. And the narrower rows are still available today.

Can you move the shroud to fit and maybe redrill the location to make fit? I did this to my 67 years ago, Can't remember what size fan I ran,I do remember that the fan blades were about 1/2" off the radiator.Hope this helps!

ya its real close no i cant redrill because the shroud is already on the bottom radiator hose

my problem is im using the wrong fan my original would not fit the new clutch i bought the hole in the fan wasnt big enough to slide down so i could bolt it to the clutch so im using a after market fan but its just to big causing it to hit the shroud

why doesnt my fan fit my clutch it fits the clutch that had the longer shaft with no problems, but the clutch with the short shaft so it will clear the radiator will not let the fan slide onto it>
i went to Oreillys and we went tru all they had in stock with short shafts and noon fit

Yearone list 2 different shrouds for the 67 SB/BB so they are different. It maybe cheaper to just purchase the smaller fan to accept the smaller shroud.and bolt to the clutch.I believe mine is smaller than 18" I have changed smaller to bigger many times and always run into project problems.hang in there!Good Luck!
