Can anyone tell me if there is a bighter bulb available for the heater controls on a 70 Chevelle. Socket calls for a 1445, which is a 1 candle power bulb and doesn't illuminate the controls that well. Thanks Tom

There might be a brighter light, but, it will also bring more heat with the watts. It could cause blistering or melting of plastic parts nearby. Best of luck. Dennymac

IF you want more light with less heat replace with an LED.

Steve: If I use an LED do I need to change the socket, or do they come with a bayonet mount that would fit the existing outlet. Tom

I have heard from other people that by cleaning the light and the plastic it looks a lot brighter.

You can buy them in several colors and bases.
