1970-72 wagon and El Camino fenders only.
The 2 door, 4 door, and convertible fenders will not work on a wagon.

I understand that 68-69 fenders from coupe, vert and el camino will fit. Is this correct.
Also, the lower section behind wheel well and taillamp, the wagon quarter panel section if you will, is the lower edge the same on el camino or coupe? The reason I ask is my wagon is rusted bad there and was wondering if I could buy a repair panel before I handmake.
Also, the arm rests-are they wagon only or could I use from a 4 dr coupe. Thanks!

the fenders must be from a wagon or elky.
the lower quarter is the same as elky patch pannels.
yes, the arm rest are the same as 4-door.

I've heard both yes and no on the fenders re my recently acquired 68 Chevelle Malibu wagon. I called three diff places that sell fenders and they say yes, coupe, vert, or wagon will fit. I have a 68 SS 396 sitting in garage, could always just compare against the 68 wagon..These Wagons are cool, but rather odd in interchangeability...Also, the wheel arches and rear of rear wheel to bumper lower section is el camino only. Good to know, I can buy elky panels for this! Thanks for all the advice!

wow, i am loosing my mind. it is the pain killers for my slipped discsin my back i am sure.

i got confused at what year we are talking about. think of it like this and you wont go wrong....
68-69 the wagon and elky were just like the cars in their body lines, but in 70-72 the cars got the new side body line with the 2 big humps over the fenders and the flared out fender wheel opening lips went away also.
but the wagon and ofcourse the elky kept the same body lines as the 68-69 and never changed.

so, to answer the question, keeping in mind what i said above, the lower quarter patches for 68-72 elky will fit a 68-72 wagon. the wheel lips are the same as elky also. coincedently the wheel lip areas are the exact same on all 68-69 chevelles especially the 4-doors that have the dog-leg section behind the door.

so, your 68 wagon can use any model 68 fender they are all the same!

and yes when you ask most people about wagon stuff they wont know what you rare talking about. most dont even know there is a chevelle wagon.
