: need to remove the rear trunk panel ('66)

its the rectangular section above the bumper, its smashed, but somehow the latch still works. it looks like an arm (connected to the latch) is welded to the trunk floor. i have another on a '66 sedan parts car. im just wondering how i'd remove it. if i take off the taik lamp sections will it come out? what am i going to have to cut?

John, you will need to pull the bumper and tail lights and start drilling out the factory spot welds that tie that panel to the car. A drill bit will work but they make special "spot weld" drills just for this.

thanks, but someone jacked the car, i dont think i'll be replacing that
