Hi!
Trying to remove the key lock cylinder from my -70 Chevelle. I have the Haynes manual, but I dont understand what they mean by the spring latch on the lower end of the cylnder. I can't get it out and it's getting to me.

Anyone with experiences ??

I made a quick drawing for you. You can see it at personal.riverusers.com/~mcphelps/Latch.jpg (http://personal.riverusers.com/~mcphelps/Latch.jpg) . You may have to break through some flashing to access the latch.

Thanks Dean...you inspired me to actually find the "old one" and take a pic...it can be seen at personal.riverusers.com/~mcphelps/latch1.jpg (http://personal.riverusers.com/~mcphelps/latch1.jpg) . You can use it however you want. I also have pics on removing a 68/69 glovebox lock if you ever have the need....
