: Welding heat sink putty ??

I heard that there is a putty-like product that can be attached (stuck) to the back of sheet metal that will draw away excess heat during welding to minimize distortion. My intent is for quarter panel replacements. I found nothing on several web searches. Does anyone have any ideas ??

Check with either a good local Auto body and paint supply store or check with a welding supply store. If they don't carry it they should be able to order it for you,
I've never used this product but have read about it. Looks like a good product and I believe it is reusable.
Had all my welding done by the time I read about this product.
Good Luck

Thanks guys - The Eastwood web site has the stuff. They call it Anti Heat Compound (Item no. 31042) and it goes for $22.99 a quart.
