puttin a hand brake out of a porsche in my velle and i need to buy cable with two ends in a custom length, but I can't find a Raybestos or Bendix or any catalog which lists them by length.

What i need would look like this, just the cable:

[]-------------------------------------[]

And I haven't measured yet but i want to know my mounting options before I fab up some brackets

Anyone have a clue where to look, the parts store looks at me as if i have two heads.

And I know Lokar makes cables, but theyre more than I need and way overpriced.

Thanks - ryan

Ryan,
my 70 has a dana rear. PO put it in and didn't have the parking brake components installed.
I had to go from GM to Chrysler on the cable system.
made mine up with cable from Lowe's and got the crimp on ends that they sell.
the crimping tool is pricey. just buy the tool, use it, and return it. no questions asked.

Thanks, I was thinking if i couldn't find the right ones i would use an old trick that they use on bike cables, take a bolt, drill a hole in it near the head and sue that with a nut to clamp the cable.

I'll take a trip to the hardware store tommorw to see what they got
