: how bad is it

Reading a few bench racing posts about bad frames and doors not opening with cars on lifts got me scared. Here's my question - if I jack up my car on the front end only, and put it up on jackstands, neither door will open. This would indicate I have a sagging /cracked / garbage frame, yes? how bad could it be? Body's on the car, but the car's seen better days. The frame's got plenty of surface rust, but that's all it SEEMS to be - surface rust. I sealed the effer of with POR-15, so no more rust. But now I'm concerned with how bad it could be. The car drives, occasionally creaks (but that may have to do with rotting body bushings - MAY), but other than that, seems OK. I redid the front end, and it aligned just fine.

I really don't want to do a frame-off on a plain Malibu. And the motor in that car is certainly capable of twisting the thing into a pretzel if it's that bad (I'm sure it wouldn't hurt a solid frame). So basically, am I screwed, or is it still driveable?

Thanks in advance!

You'll be ok, those frames flex LOTS.
