I'm installing a oil pressure guage to my SS 396 Chevelle. Where can I mount it other thanthe mounting position next to the oil filter? How can I tell the difference between a water and oil mounting position? Size/location

You can go to the far left front of engine and remove the allen socket head Type "looks like a set screw" and pick up your oil pressure here, Its far from the oil pump. I used a sprint car woven stainless line and ran it through the frame pulled it out by the clutch and up to the dash. Bob ACES2825

I saw the set screw earlier. You answered my question perfectly. Thanks.

Any of the holes along the bottom of the block on the driver's side. Pick one that's easy to get to with the motor in the car.

Ray,
I use the front left side port also, farthest from the oil pump with a .250 inch line to my gauge in the interior.I use the rear left side above the oil filter .125 line for the gauge in the engine compartment.
