I recently purchased a replated instrument speedo bezel for my 67 Chevelle resto. I purchased it from a plastic rechrome comany that told me it was an original GM bezel that was re chromed. I'm looking to find someone that has an original GM belel. I need to get the correct GM numbers. Any help would be much appreciated thanks

Are there any numbers on the bezel you have? My Chevrolet parts book shows 6455959 and 6459228 w/TH400 but these numbers may or may not be cast into the plastic bezel itself.

i don't know if this helps or not but i have two original 66 bezels and neither have any numbers cast into them.

What plastic rechrome company was it? Was it well done? I'm looking for a good plastic rechroming company.

Dale the repo I purchased last year had these numbers #6455959-3. The replated one that I purchase from CV Vacuum platers had the numbers#6455959. The two are identical in every respect. I remember when I removed the original GM bezel (I no longer have original GM bezel) there were some subtle differences, so I'm sure this replated one is a replated repo.I'm trying to get the correct info so I can pass it on to Chuck at CV Platers were I purchased the bezel. i really don't want to get rid of them. i would like to get them replated. i also have a radio delete plate that i want to get replated. let me know if you don't find one you are satisfied with. if you can't, you are welcome to one of these.
