A bodyman I know swears by this stuff. Can't remember the brand name but he said it lays good and is the best filler. Any of you guys use the stuff?

I have used green spot putty before and it works good, but it is bright green and you need dark paint to cover it or at least 3 coats of paint

1969, you are refering to a tube of spot putty, that is a whole different animal. "spot putty" is just lacquer primer in a tube, shrinks a lot, very old technology.
Polyester putty is basicly "bondo" with very fine ground talc and a little more resin. It spreads like sour cream and is very easy to sand (usually with no courser than 120).

Evercoat makes a number of great poly putties. "Glaze coat" "Icing" "metal coat", all work very good. It is the only way to add that last skim coat to your plastic filler work.

Polyester primer is another way, it is sprayable polyester putty.

I've used it, its very good stuff, Martin's right about the green stuff, they also have it in red (and I think blue as well). If you walk into a body shop and you see their using it, just turn around and walk out. The new stuff is light years ahead of lacquer putty.

Don't know if it's a local thing or not.. But Colors Inc. Is running a Promo in July.. Buy 3 quarts (or cans don't remember the size off hand) of Upol (spray on filler) and you get a free Upol Gun..
