I recently purchased a rear bumper rubber SS pad that goes on my 70 SS but the guy did not have the adhesive for it. The parts cataloges don't sell it seperately. Can anyone tell me what is the proper adhesive to use for this. Thank you

I don't know what would be the "correct" adheasive but I have a suggestion. How about two sided tape like mouldings are held on with now? I have to pull off and install muldings every day and these late model cars mouldings are held on with white 3M tape. You just about need a jack hammer to get them off! If I am uncertain about how well it will hold for some reason (used mouldings I am re-tapeing for instance) I put a dollup of urethane adheasve in the middle of the moulding in between the tape at each end of the moulding. The tape holds it till it cures and that momma is not coming off!

Iam with Martin on this one. That glue can be a pain in the butt to use and if you dont get in right the pad can fall off. The tape from 3M is great stuff and onces its on it aint coming off...Eric

Wait! If you use the double sided tape the pad wont be flat agaist the bumper, you will see the tape between the bumper and the pad. It will be noticable but you decide if you can live it, personally I couldnt.
Another option, call Year One and ask them how to get in touch with the maufacturer of the glue. I bought a new rear bumper pad 2 weeks ago and sent the card in for the glue, after waiting a week for the glue to arrive I called Year One and asked what was the hold up, while I was on hold they called the manufacturer to trace it and they said that it was sent that day. The point is, they can get in touch with the manufacturer or tell you how to get in touch with them.
Another thing, I havent tried it but I read (here) that black heavy duty weather strip adhesive (3M) would do it.
