How do the pro's do it?
Im almost ready to paint my 69, it's now in primer sealer just waiting for paint.
I was thinking how I would add the trim after it is painted and this bad thought of chipped paint went through my head.
Whats the best way for a BB/CC paint job, I know it's rather thick and I worry about chips.
Is it better to put the trim on over just a primer sealer then tape the trim and paint?

Paint it first. Then install the moldings carefully. Use masking tape if you think you might scratch the paint somewhere...

How do you get the drip rail trim off without damage?

I haven't been successful in getting that trim off without boogering it a little. I've tried the coke bottle cap remover with masking tape on it...........didn't work for me. Somebody mentioned setting a wood block under the edge and tapping it off while sitting in the car. I'll try that next time. If yours is off I'd paint it and then add the trim after. Just sand those 14 coats of primer off of the drip rail so you don't have the drip rail so built up with paint and primer that the trim won't go back on. Don't ask why I know that.

I've tried the coke bottle cap remover with plastic-dip on it. It worked for me.
