No such luck my friend, no Chevelle clubs any where around these parts. I suppose we could start one with the two of us, can I be the treasurer?

Since you're in Delafield, I would suggest the Waukesha Old Car Cub (WOCC) of which I belong, we just had a meeting this evening at 730, we meet on the 2nd Monday of the month at Sunset Bowl in Waukesha. I would have invited you if I had seen your post earlier.

I have a detailed Milwaukee area car show schedule if you like, give me your email address & I will send it to you.

Welcome to the Milwaukee area, home of dark, cold & bleak wintery days that seem to linger on forever till the beginning of spring!

I live in Brookfield that is about 10 minutes due east of you, lets get together!

I love to give home made gifts, which one of the kids would you like?

Watch for my SS496 Chevelle as a pace car at Indy in 2011 (100 years after Grandpa Joe) IF THEY WILL LET ME !

There is a Northern Illinois Chevelle club, but most people I have talked too about it say it is very segragated, rich yuppies, drag race junkies etc. I have thought about putting something together, but don't know if the interest would be there, plus I would like a team of officers to really chip in with stuff. I do know the group in Madison and north have been talking about setting something up for the past year or so, just don't know if anything ever materialized or not. You could PM Quickss or gutz66 I think they were the two guys who were really trying to get things off the ground. I would consider participating in a club for far northern IL, and southern WI, or be willing to help in creating a club if the desire was there. Jason.

I'm a member of the Northern Illinois Chevelle Club. There actually is quite a mix of members. Maybe there are a few rich yuppies and drag race junkies I guess, but that is just one point of view.
Our club does a variety of things. We're getting together this weekend in Aurora to visit a shop that does body and paint work. We also go to several cruises in the summer. We get together to show at Chevy-Vettefest in Chicago. We do drag race at Union Grove and Byron against each other with another car club, just for fun.
I just hate to see this, or any other club, bashed unless you have been there to see it. They have a website: www.chevelle-club.com
Check us out, it's not all that bad.

You hate what? How did I BASH your club? I offered the opinions of several ex-members who described your club as being full of clicks, while trying to decide for myself whether it would be worth joining. What this suggests to me is your club cannot all play well together, and this is what information most people search for when joining a club. Inherently you will have a wide variety of genre to choose from when joining any car club, I am sorry I wasn't more specific as to where I was leading my input. You are correct, I have not participated in your club. To become defensive and jump to the conclusion I was bashing it, is what makes me believe the opinions of those ex members whom I have discussed it with makes me believe; in fact; those opinions are not totally biased. Obviously everyone has the right to make their own decision, and should be understood without saying; however; If I were bashing your club, why would I bother mentioning it in the same sentence as someone trying to locate a club in Wisconsin?

A Wisconsin Chevelle club is in the works, be patient! :)

I'm also involved in a club based out of the Madison area. We've had some troubles in the past year but seem to have resolved issues now. The important point people have to remember is club should be FUN, the members should enjoy each other's company and realize the cars come SECOND, the friendships you make and maintain are always first.
