could anyone explain why the back up lights don't work on my 1970 chevelle? i have replaced the bulbs so that potential problem was eliminated, i need to know this as the car is going to have to pass inspection soon. Thanks for any feedback. Thanks!!!

First check the socket with a meter or test light to see if you are getting both power and ground to the socket. If no ground check the wiring and connections of the ground. If no power, check for power at the switch. What trans/shifter do you have?
