A guy is selling a 68-72 cutlass frame and I just want to make sure it is the same as my 69 chevelle.

It has been sandblasted, primed and painted.

I am going to look at it saturday is there anything I should look for.

Keep in mind I am in the northeast corner of the US

Thanks Stephen

68-72 2 door frames are all the same. Well, all but convertable. It's boxed. 4 doors are 4 inches longer, Chevelle, cutlass, skylark, and GTO/tempest are all the same frame. Look for cancer right where the back area of the fender is. My frame rotted there. Then check where all the rear suspension bolts up, especially where the crossmember welds to the frame rails. Ask me how I know. Check that area REALLY well, especially for a northern car. Mine rusted there badly. Check where the body bushings set on. These holes are sometime "enlarged" due to rust and need a washer welded in place.

I will send you a picture of the trouble spots.
