I tried one out a few years ago, my paint supplier had a demo at the time. If I remember right it really liked the high flow airfittings to get good atomization. Maybe someone here that uses one on a daily basis will chime in. TTT

Personally Ive spring for the GTI+, but I see that they dont offer it.
The thing I see is that it takes 15.5cfm, does your air compressor put out that much air?

This is the older model, but it takes less air

Either way they are nice guns...Eric

I think I will go with the one in your link Eric, thanks again as always. Thanks to you too, Bob. I've actually been using a Husky HVLP  from Home Depot up to this point to paint the underside of my trunk lid and hood, firewall and cutting in at the doors. I have used PPG Omni BC/CC for those areas, but plan to step up to a higher quality pproduct for the body paint. As a result I will also be buying a higher quality gun to shoot it with. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Hey if u have any paint supply places by u(were u buy your paint) ask if they have any demo guns. I just picked up a sata jet nr 2000 for 350.00.They send them out and rebuild them. So its like a brand new gun.

If you're going to spray any primers (especially 2K primers) you'll need to spring for a bigger fluid tip - I have a 1.6 and should step up to a 1.8 or even 2.0 when spraying it really thick. I have a DeVilbiss FinishLine II 635 with a 1.6 & 1.4 tip, with PPG Omni base & 5-Star clear. A pretty good utility gun for $150.

I just bought the 670 gun, will use it for the base & clear. My older FinishLine II 635 will be used for primer, I bought a 1.8 fluid tip for it to spray the heavy 2K primers...
