I am planning on painting my car black with Kameleon color or similar stripes. What I want to know is what is involved in the paint process. Do you have to use it as a undercoat, mix with paint, topcoat etc.??? Is it tough to work with, get even coats??

And, does anyone have any pics of cars using this type of paint??

basically you would spray the basecoat, then your pearl, candy, chameleon or whatever, then clear. It can be tough to get even because generally the more coats you put on the more effect you'll get.

I know its pricey checked on it a few weeks ago chameleon from House of Kolor was $250 a qt. Chromaillusion from Dupont was like $600 a qt. Thats right a qt. not a gallon.

The guy that painted our D.A.R.E. car used it on the ground effects and an SS-type stripe on our 91 Camaro. I'd send pics but you just can't see it in a still picture. You can see some of the color, but the effect isn't there. But I can still send them if you want.
