Ok I bought some 2K urethane, it calls for 4 parts MTK, 1 part MR, and 1 part MH 168
I know MR is a reducer but what should I use to reduce it before spaying. Will using lacquer thinner work . I ubderstand the rest. BTW this is for PPG paint

MR is the Omni urethane reducer.
NO , do not use lacquer thinner. It would work and get the job done, but the results will be lower gloss...and possibly worse, peeling, blistering, etc.
I hope that answers your question......I hope I understand what you were asking.
You should be able to pick up the MR urethane reducer at the same place you bought the PPG Omni MTK paint.

thanks I asked that were I bought the paint, and I asked them what reducer to use and they said the lacquer thinner is the same thing as the recomended. I don't know too much about all this, and took there word.

The reducer is the thinner, You should not need to thin any more the that,Laquer thinner will wreck the paint your using! Call another body supply shop and ask them. The reducer is thinner and activator. Not all people at those places know what they are doing, ask the guy mixing the paint but sometimes they are also flunkeys! Because its all done by weight any yahoo can do it! Pros want more money.

Its 4-1-1 which is 4 parts paint/primer to one part reducer to one part activator. I'm also into rc and we paint our planes which is mixed to the same ratio as above and then reduce it up to 150% to save weight. Don't do this on your car but a little over reducing is not the end of the world. Just mix per the can and your set.

Just to clarify something, a "reducer" is a " enamel, urethane or other reducers" and "thinner" is "lacquer thinner".
In other words, you "reduce" a urethane or enamel and you "thin" a lacquer.
This is all a matter of semantics and may sound like I am nit picking. But when you use proper terms, you have a lot less problems.
If you mix the paint in equal parts of 4:1:1 with paint:reducer:hardener it will work as it is designed to.
