Finally starting to put my 66 together, been many years. It's completely apart. Need some help.
Does the firewall insulation go on top of the carpet, or under it?
Does the e-brake & brake pedal assy mount thru firewall insulation?
Does the brake assy go in first, then the dash?
What is the hole in the firewall directly below the steering column for? It's about 1 1/2 in in diameter.
Appreciate your help.

with out thinking real hard about it, do you have a assembly manual for your 66?buy one, it shows everything.around $40.00 or so, well worth it.

good luck,

I already have one on order but didn't want to wait. Was hoping for a simple answer, not just the obvious.
Thanks anyway,

Rich,

Does the firewall insulation go on top of the carpet, or under it? **Under it**
Does the e-brake & brake pedal assy mount thru firewall insulation? **Yes**
Does the brake assy go in first, then the dash? **I don't think it matters. I put the assembly in after the dash was in.**
What is the hole in the firewall directly below the steering column for? It's about 1 1/2 in in diameter. **The hole below the steering column is for the speedo cable grommet**

Thank you very much. Just needed a little help.
Your car is getting close! Mine too, and I can't wait. Just finished all forged 383. Next big part is installation of wiring harnesses, wish me luck!
