I have a 64 SS Convertible and I want to replace the rad support bushings. None of the mainstream vendors sell them. If anyone else had this problem, what did you do?

64 Chevelles did not use cushions under the radiator support. It is just shimmed to align the sheetmetal.

Thanks for the help. Makes me wonder about the vendors on e-bay who do sell them. What did you use for the shims?

When I bought the car it had several flat washers, I used large body shims because they were easier to insert as needed.

Thanks, Phil. I wonder if it would be worthwhile to try to get some rubber in there.

It really won't fit. The three 64's I have had only used 1/8" - 3/16" of shim. In 65 the radiator support was modified to allow for rubber cushions.
