Many thanks to all that have helped me get the materials and the advice I needed to get the crushed roof replaced on my 70 project. I got the old roof off and the replacement tacked into place satr. I had a couple of small issues and have the final finish welding to do, but it went well. :D

Rick, remember to double and triple check your position before final welding. Trial fitting parts is NOT a waste of time. Even if you "think" there is no problem at all, do some extra work in trial fitting. It is well worth the time.

Thanks Martin. I don't have a windshield but I do have the side and rear glass and plan to position it to check. I know that the height on the drivers side is off by about a 1/16th plus but think the trim around the front glass will take that up. I used the pattern idea you gave me and found a seam to use as a cut mark on the rear sail. All-in-all it aligned well and looks great. Thanks for all your input and support. This is the 2nd car I've done and your basics and responses to my questions has made it posible for me to accomplish what I have been able to so far.

Hey Rick, glad to hear the 70 is starting to make a recovery, hope everthing works out with little or no problems. Are you going to be able to make it to the October MCC meeting in Scaggsville?
