Hey everyone. As you all know I have a 70 chevelle Malibu which still has the chrome mouldings on both sides of the upper portion of the fender, door and rear quarter, right underneath the window. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. They were only offered on 1970 models. Anyway, I am going to re-use these mouldings after I paint the car because I like them. Does anyone know where I can buy the retaining clips for the mouldings? They are little plastic rectangular shape pieces with either a screw or a rivet holding them in. The clips on the fenders are kind of different and have a small wire sticking out from them. Does anyone have any extra of these they would be willing to donate or sell? Thanks a bunch.

Steve -
I picked up the fender clips at my local auto paint store, and I'm guessing you could get the clips from such a place as well. They're very similar to the clips that hold vinyl top trim on.

I am in need of the same parts. I've looked on Year One and OPGI's websites and have ended up more confused than anything else. If someone could give me part #'s or a website with a decent picture it would be appreciated.

I got some from my local NAPA store. He had a book of fasteners to look through to compare to make sure I got what I needed. Pete
