I have too much started and unfinished with this car.

The more I learn, it seems like I have to digress before I can progress.

I'd really appreciate any advice on the sequence of doing things to make it easier and produce a better finished job.

Here's the current state of the car:
Most of body is almost ready for color coat
Trunk lid is off and painted
Hood is off and painted
Taillight and headlight extensions are removed and primed or painted
Rear window is removed

Now for the questions:

It needs a headliner. Should I remove the windshield (since the rear window is already out) to make the headliner installation easier? I've never done it. I thought about postponing the headliner, but I'd like to do a good job on it.

I also have a new vinyl top to put on it. Should that be done after the headliner and before the front and rear glass goes back in?

Thanks.

Based on my experience, the headliner and the vinyl top can both be installed with the windshield in place. Than being said, if you are taking the car that far...take a few minutes to pull out the windshield and it will make the headliner job much easier and the vinyl top would go back on before the windshield...gives you more room to seal it down. $15.00 for a front window seal.
