I need some help in measurements or blue prints for valve covers for a bbc. I am going to ask a sheet metalist to do the job in making them and getting them totally in my own style with engraving and all.

I think your best bet would be to stop at an automotive machine shop and purchase or borrow one of the scrap cylinder heads that are cracked, etc. Bring the head to sheetmetal guy along with a gasket and he should be able to plot out everything.
