Are the doors from a 69 convertible interchangeable with a 2 door coupe?
Are patch panels available for the inner door
"housings"?

Coupe & convertible doors are the same. I'm not sure if the glass is the same or not. Also not sure what you're looking for with the patch panel http://www.chevelles.com/forum/confused.gif

The section of the door that needs repair is the "housing"? on the bottom of the door structure itself, not the skin. The area were the weatherstripping is attached. This would be the part of the door that would be directly over the sill plate....not sure of exact name, a common area for rust in this part of the world

Gotcha. I've never heard of any specific 'patch panels' being made for that area. Since it's essentially a hidden area, I think you would just cut to fit & weld in. I think I might be inclined to look for some rust free doors.

I too, have a 69 but it is a coupe. as previously stated, the doors are the same for the converts. and coupes. I had to replace both doors on my car; got one at Spring Carlisle, fr. Calif., and the other I got from a guy named Bob Cline who does business as Desert Dog Auto Parts. He is located in the Chicago area but has contacts in the desert SW. I was VERY happy with the door I got from him and the price wasn't bad either. It needed nothing but sanding, priming and paint. He advertises in Hemmings and here is his #- 708-409-1040.
I don't think it has changed. If you can score a really good door, you will save much time and hair-pulling- BTDT myself. Good luck and get that 69 together. Can't wait to see it. I'm in North Rose- about 45 mi. E of Roch. near Sodus.
