You guys have always steered me right before so here goes, when installing a fiberglass hood I was told to heat up a set of stock springs and this will ease some tension, does anyone recomend this or should I try and track down a set of "light duty" springs.
What company's might sell these if so ?

Heating the spring will destroy it, not give it less tension. Buy the correct spring or use none at all.

Glasstek (630-978-9897) sells lightweight springs for their glass hoods. Any glass hood mfg should have springs available as well. Don't heat up your old springs.
