Picked up my '67ss over the weekend. Got a 65 396 along with it. the numbers stamped on the back of the block are 3855961. Front of the block is stamped T0702LC J299769. Heads are stamped 3856206.(oval closed 97cc chamber) Need advice if this combo is worth building (assuming the block is ok)? The engine work is down the road, going to take lots of work on the car body. Just want to know if I should be looking for something different. I would like to end up with a 350-400 hp engine..Thanks.

Will work just fine but remember it is an early block the requires a different rear cam bearing and a cam with a groove on the rear journal.
