I got the trim off my '67s trunk lid. It's the one on the rear edge. I kind of rolled it off the clips with a putty knife, but in the process, I put a curve into it. Now instead of the curve following the edge of the trunk edge, it has a gentle bend it's entire length going the opposite direction.

Is it fixable? There are no kinks in it.

How was it supposed to come off?

Fortunately mine had nuts inside the trunk lid. On yours if you pried off the clips from the bottom only as you went across it SHOULD have been OK. Try rolling the trim across something like a piece of pipe applying gentle pressure.

The trim is held on by a clip & nut on the ends and clips the rest of the way. Since you haven't kinked it you can gently straighten it and when you put it back on it will lay againist the trunk edge and be straight again. You "hang" it on the top of the clips and push it down to install.
Good luck,
Roger
