When you selected SS stripes on a 70 Chevelle did they match the interior? For example:
Could I get a Fathom Blue paint with white stripes and a black interior?

No, you could order black or white stripes, but this depended on exterior color. There were some obvious restrictions, for instance, you couldn't order black stripes with black exterior. Yes you could have Fathom blue, white stripes and black interior.

I would guess that if there was a vinyl top option on the car, it would match the stripes. Am I correct?

It was quite possible to get all three a different color.

Take member Steve S.'s car for example. It is Fathom blue, White stripes and a BLACK vinyl top!

That's right. Vinyl and convertible tops often matched the stripes but not always. I have a chart for 70-72 that shows color combos for ext., int. and stripes. It's actually out of a YEAR ONE catalog. (Although I support Ground Up). I could try to fax it to you if you want. (Don't have a scanner)
