Hi, I'm changing the body mount braces on my car because the cage nuts have rusted out.These are the ones behind the rear wheel on the trunk.The ones I ordered came not painted and where I took the old ones off there is no paint also.It is just unpainted metal also with some rust starting.What steps do I need to take for treating the rust and painting all of this so I can weld these on? I was planning to use DP90 on priming the under side of the car. I was wondering if I painted the two parts if I would have trouble welding this. ( P.S ) I am going to just punch holes in brace and weld them on that way.Do you think this will be ok? Thanks for any Replies!!
