Hello,I'm new here, this is my first posting. This site looks like a home run for chevelle information. I have a 1970 convertible that I'm seriously considering to restore. I'm mechanically limited to what I can do so I'll have to have most of the project done by a professional. I would like to know some info on the car, and this looks like the place to get it. I just want to know if the car has some value and if it's worth putting the $$ in to restore it the right way (frame off). First off the car has alot of rust, so I'll need new sheet metal (which I already have alot of). I found 3/4 of the build sheet under the seat. The car is a matching numbers car, it's a 350 2 barrel(250 hp) with a four speed. It has bucket seats with a floor console. The car isn't an SS it's just a malibu. It does have the SS interior, seats and the round dash gauges. I'm guessing it came that way because it is a four speed? I know alot of malibus are cloned into an SS car but I would like to restore it to the original car with just some performance upgrades to the engine and suspension and brakes. The car doesn't have A/C, or power steering and has drum brakes all around. Any info anyone can give me would be appreciated.

It's not worth anything, you should sell it to me :D :D.
Seriously though, it sounds like a cool combo you have there, not something you see much of in a Malibu. The round dash, bucket seats, and console could be ordered in a Malibu. If you want, you can take a digital photo of your build sheet, send it to me and I can decode it for you. I like the fact you want to keep it in Malibu status. One thing you should consider is putting power disc brakes on it, best investment you can make.
