Does anybody make the little tubes of touch up paint in the original 60's colors? Mine is a base/clear paint.

Appreciate it.

I have a set of the 1969-70 GM touch up paint pens on a dealer Display rotiserie from back then. But they are Lacquer and very elastic today, not a long shelf life.

I always make sure I have at least a pint of any cars paint I own.I would think you could easily get the Basecoat/Clearcoat color of your choice at any paint supply house.Just supply the proper code to them..Unless Nick still has some on hand?

Thanks for the response Rick. My bodyman has the code on his computerized paint mixing system, but I was hoping to find something a little more economical than the minimum volume he would require. Appreciate it.

I picked up some Cortez Silver here. It seemed reasonable enough based on the alternatives. Just keep in mind that they are going to color match to factory original and if you have a repaint it might not be exact.

Thanks for the link Silver. They show the correct code for my car and I shall likely be talking to them. I have just a couple of minute little chips and this should do the trick. Have made a diary note of their website for possible future use.

Another option might be Model Car World. http://ourworld.cs.com/mcwautofinishes/
They sell accurate colors for model cars. I believe these paints are lacquers and are thinned for an air brush which could be a problem trying to use if for touch up. I don’t know that much about paints. I believe the prices are very reasonable.

Just another option to think about.

Don,

Last Friday I went to one of my local auto paint suppliers, gave them the paint code for my Marina Blue '66 and they mixed me up a 2oz bottle of touchup paint in less than 5 minutes. Cost was about $7. It worked great.

Thanks for the additional feedback Bubba and Greg. I ended up making a few phone calls yesterday morning and will be able to get the same thing Greg has mentioned above at a very reasonable price.
