Has anyone here had any experience with 'glass fenders? My 69's fenders are rotted out, and 'glass is a lot cheaper than steel. I've heard people say they take a lot of work to fit correctly. The weight reduction would also be a plus. Or should I just get the Goodmarks and be done?
Thanks in advance

Fiberglass fenders are junk unless its a drag car and looks or fit are meaningless.

Boom is on the right track. If and that is a BIG, make that VERY BIG IF there are some good quality street "exact replacements" for you fenders I would venture to say that they will be just as much money as the steel. Then, after saying that, they will NOT fit. Not even close, sorry. I have installed many fiberglass parts over the years and they ALL needed a lot of work to get them looking like a steel part. I just did a hood on a buddies 2002 Grand Prix. The hood was big bucks (I don't remember exactly but $600.00 or something like that) and it fit like CRAP I had to put eight full hours in it. Now, it looked like OEM after that, but that is eight hours on a very simple part, not at all like the fenders on a '69 Chevelle.
I would MUCH rather repair rusted out originals than deal with the glass. graemlins/waving.gif

Okay, That's all I needed to hear. I'm not concerned terribly about the weight, and my time is at a premium (job-related travel), so I'll look into some Goodmarks. graemlins/beers.gif
Thanks guys!
