I was watching this show a few minutes ago on the history channel. (good show!) The one stat they mentioned that caught my ear, was in 1950, the fasted recorded drag race had a speed of 120mph. Wow! They've come a looooong way!!

I was flipping around during that and A&E had a show on street racing. It was filmed in Canada and was a "Fast and Furious" crowd but it was interesting anyway.
