I was wondering if anyone has a link on how to DIY powder coating? I would like to learn all I can before I dive into it. Thanks

I've seen them in Eastwood catalogs, and also at Harbor Freight Tools. Sorry, no links.

Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I beleive you have to use an electic range to cure the parts in. Otherwise you use a special heat lamp like Eastwood sell for curing. Hope this gets you started. Cal

DO NOT USE YOUR HOME OVEN.. Unless you want too stink up your house, and have the harmful fumes in your food for a long time.. Other than that as long as you can heat the parts too 400 degrees for 10-20 minutes you'll have no problem with electric or gas.. www.eastwoodco.com (http://www.eastwoodco.com) has DIY kits for powdercoating and you can pick up a cheapie oven somewhere.. do a search on powder coating and some of the guys here have some pretty inventive solutions.. I have the Eastwood system.I bought the biggest toaster oven i could find for about $50 to do a bunch of little brackets other small parts.It works good.I'm going to get a haet lamp for the bigger stuff.Do't buy Eastwoods lamp.You can buy a this one a lot cheaper http://www.northerntool.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=39605&prmenbr=6970

They say DO NOT use a gas oven ...........it could explode.........
