Hello, newbie to the boards & this is my first Chevelle. My 70 SS has an X-10 in upper right hand corner. Also found build sheet from another car, a Malibu that was 11 cars behind on the line. Was built in Balt plant. Thanks Dave K.

I also had a Baltimore built 70 SS that had a number stamped in the top right, but mine was a "3" and it was stamped from the opposite side compared to all other letters and numbers.

Go back and reseach the board..There was a thread concerning these numbers about a year or 2 ago..It appears that they were used by Fisher Body, possibly denoting the "buck" or jig used to build the bodies from what I recall. I have seen a "1" and a "2" on cars. Hope this helps..

I have some 70 Baltimore plates with 0, 1, 2, 3, or 5 on them. Almost every Baltimore plate I have from 64 to 72 has a raised number stamped on them in various positions.
