I just bought one of eBay and it is in great shape and appears to be original. But I want to make sure. The staples are have rusted, but not tarnished the pages. But under the power train options for the SS models it only list the 325 and 360hp motors. It is dated august of 65.

keithb,

Sounds reasonable. As I recall, the 375 HP, SHP engine wasn't made available until late in the model year.

There are TWO editions of that Brochure.. The first one shows the Regal Red 66 SS on the front cover with white wall tires and the 66 SS on the back cover is a Lemonwood Yellow car with BLACKED OUT REAR COVE Super Sport Emblems placed too high among other things.

The second edition shows The Regal Red 66 SS with Red Line Tires, but the LemonWood 66 SS on the back does not have the BLACKED OUT PANEL, but the Super Sport emblem is properly placed.

The L-78 ( 375hp ) is not mentioned, as it is not in most all of the early Road Test Articles.. b/c it was not released and available until October 7, 1965. Production started on 66 SS in July/August 1965

All Repros are supposed to be noted as such in front inside cover.. ie. something like "Reproduced with permission of GM...."

I picked up one of those from e-bay a little while back, mine came with a Chevy II brochure and both were in excellent condition, mine is the first edition, pretty cool to add to the documentation
